Milton Acorn
Milton Acorn was born in Charlottetown at the 30th of March in 1923. He was one of Canada’s most famous poets and writers. He also wrote plays. On August 20, 1986 he died of heart disease and diabetes in his home town. But Milton was, and remains, Canada's national poet. He was called "the most accessible literary figure in Canada." So that is where his nickname, the People’s Poet comes from.
Milton Acorn was a soldier in the Canadian Armoured Corps from 1939 to 1943 and he was suffering from a seriouss head injury during the World War II.
In 1956 he self-published his first collection of poetry, In Love and Anger. After that he moved to Montreal to meet other poets.
He has won several awards for his work. Like the Canadian Poets' Award in 1970, which is also known as the People’s Poet Award. In 1776 he won the Governor General's Award, in 1977 he received the Honorary Doctorate of Law Degree and in 1986 the Life member Canadian Poetry Association.

Roberta Bondar was born on the 4th of December in 1945, so she is 67 years old. Roberta was the first Canadian woman, the second Canadian astronaut and the first neurologist to go into space.
Roberta was already really interested in science and space when she was a child. Becoming an astronaut was one of her dreams and she succeeded. She said: "I would dream about being the first person on the moon, and taught myself the names of all the planets."
Roberta Bondar was one of the first six Canadians astronauts that were selected for the Canadian Astronaut Program in 1983. She began her astronaut training at NASA in February 1984. In January, 1992 she became the second Canadian and the first Canadian woman astronaut in space with her flight aboard the shuttle Discovery. She was in space for 8 days, 1 hour, 46 minutes. After he flight with the Discovery, she left the Canadian Space Agency to focus on her work as a photographer and author. Her pictures are displayed in many collections and she has also published four books.

They met when they both worked in Lebanon, so that is why he was born there. His parent divorced in 1966, and after the divorce his mother moved to Toronto with Keanu and his sister Kim.
Reeves began his acting career at the age of nine, appearing in a theatre production of Damn Yankees. He did a few other theatre and stage productions after that. He made his screen acting debut in a CBC Television comedy series entitled Hangin' In.
